ABOUT
Karen is a Sacred Somatic Journeys® Practitioner, a Social Worker and Compassionate Inquiry practitioner. In her private practice she offers therapeutic healing through somatic therapy. Karen's work as a Social Worker has spanned 18 years and includes working within children's and adults services. Karen continues to work within an adult community mental health setting with the NHS. Carrying out assessments and supporting people affected by anxiety, depression, personality disorders and post traumatic stress disorder. Karen is trauma informed and trauma experienced. Karen has experience of working with individuals on the neurodivergence spectrum, which is an area of growing interest for her.
Karen is a nature lover, a singer, a dancer and a yogi. She brings her voice as a conduit for the healing within her sessions. Karen appreciates the rhythms of life and listening to where she is being called in a deeper way to show up, and fully experience her own sacred life and support those to embody their own. She experiences herself as 'a woman of the world'.

Terms of Practice and Contraindications Contraindications: This work is not suitable for people in active psychosis. If you have had psychosis over two years ago then this can be considered but a consultation would be necessary prior to booking. This work is also not suitable for pregnant women in their first trimester of pregnancy. If you have a known history of the following conditions it is important that you advise me of these on the consultation form. Epilepsy, seizures, osteoporosis, heart issues, recent cancer and lung disease. The work is still supportive and can be carried out but it is important that I am aware of these conditions. Regularity of sessions: You are encouraged to consider what you need in terms of regularity of sessions. Other humans have reported having the most supportive results when accessing sessions every 4-8 weeks. This has given them the space to integrate, to be in their life and to continue to practice the meeting of their heart and body compassionately. The block bookings are designed to support your ongoing commitment to your process. These are to be used within 4 months of the date of the first session, unless otherwise agreed. Fees and Cancellations: Your appointment will be confirmed once full payment has been received. If, for whatever reason you need to cancel or reschedule you are required to provide 1 week notice. Cancellation within 1 week is charged at the full rate. Confidentiality: All the written and verbal exchanges will remain confidential. If there are concerns about your safety, or the safety of another, this will be discussed with you in the first instance, to agree a way forward to ensure your safety and well-being.
